Today, Sunny spent the day with Daddy! When Mommy got home, there was a report written down of what they did for the day. Some of the activities included: shopping at Walmart, eating Shushi take out, swinging in the swing (really fast, yikes!), playing with Friend the cat, going to look at every mirror in the house (over and over) and a few short naps. It was a good report and was a great bonding day for Daddy and Sunny.
We also took baby Sunny to the Dr. for her tummy troubles. After getting an x-ray of her tummy, drawing some blood and gathering of poopie diapers, she will have tests done on these items to rule out any tummy trouble. Dr. says it could be a lot of things and it's scary for a little one to have some bloody stools. So, he's being on the safe side by ordering all the tests. We should know something next week.
We were SO proud of how well Sunny did at the doctor. When he said he wanted to take her blood, my eyes immediately filled with tears because she had her blood drawn a lot when she was born, so it was a nightmare for Mommy to watch. The nurse at the doctor's off did a WONDERFUL job! They had to draw the blood from a vein in her little arm (which apparently is hard to find on an infant). She only tried once and took 2 tubes of blood. Sunny cried when she stuck the needle in, but then Sunny stopped and looked around at everyone like nothing was wrong. She looked at us like she was saying, "what are you all looking at, I'm fine." Mommy was SO proud of her!
When we got home, we did some practicing on tummy time and sitting up before bath, bottle, book and bed!
