Sunny Sunday Photo Shoot

Mom was inspired by Tina Link's great photo shoot of Carmen that she wanted to try to get some great shots of Sunny.

Here's Sunny's favorite spot in the house right now. She likes to hang on and scream and talk to the whole house!

This picture melt Mommy's heart.

A look outside ...

She looks like she's posing for me, doesn't it? She's a natural I guess because of course she can't understand me trying to tell her to look here or there. ;-)

Playing on her activity block. She won't sit and play with it anymore, it's all about climbing on it now!

She's starting to say "Ma Ma" a lot more in the past few days. Here's a small sample of it. You probably have to turn your volume up to hear it.

Here's a sample of a "Sunny Fall". You have to watch to the end, because I'm pretty sure you'll laugh! FYI: She was not hurt in this incident. ;-)

Sunny Kay Meets Uncle Jimmy

A few weeks ago, Sunny's Uncle Jimmy came to visit Kansas. Uncle Joe and family are moving to Ft. Riley, KS in May, so the whole family is helping them fix up their house! Jimmy even came all the way from Arizona to help!

Jimmy, the professional drummer he is, is teaching Sunny a few drum beats on the tin can drums.

Jimmy will always be the "big kid." ;-)

Here we all are in Ft. Riley, KS at Joe & Dorrie's new house. Grandpa Jim and Joe are remodeling whole house and we're all helping.

Sunny is wondering why Grandpa Jim is making a silly face.

Isn't this cute?

It was a windy day, but we all went outside to play for awhile.

Airen has a little 4 wheeler. He was nice to let Sunny play with it too.

"Hang on Sunny, I'm giving it full throttle."

Uncle Joe and Sunny Kay watching Airen ride his 4 wheeler.

Sunny Turns 8 Months Old

Happy 8 month Birthday
to our little Miss Sunshine!

Sunny celebrated by starting to "cruise" around. This means that she can stand supported by something while she walks. For example, she will stand next to the coffee table holding on to it, then walk around it, hanging on to the coffee table. She's slow at taking steps right now, but it won't be long. She started really pulling up on EVERYTHING about a week ago. She always wants to climb higher and she has no fear. She already has a few scratches on her face and has bumped her head more than a few times from falling after standing up! I guess she takes after cousin Airen who is definitely fearless!

We took Sunny out to dinner for Mexican last night. This is the first time we used the restaurant's high chair. Sunny did well, but all she wanted to do was chew on the table! Note to self: Cover table to keep it sanitary next time before pushing Sunny up to it.

Here she is picking out her drink for the evening. ;-) Which did happen to be water in a cup. We tried giving it to her and she really drank from the cup!! It was cold water, so she made this funny face when swallowing, but she loved it!

We also celebrated Sunny's Aunt Janette's 40th Birthday today at the Wright Grandparents house! Happy Birthday Aunt Janette!

Grandma Carol and her Sunny Girl.

Here are some clips of Sunny playing.

This is her "kissy face."

Watch how she uses her hands. She's so fascinating to watch.

Easter 2009

Here's our little Easter Sunshine Girl! We had a busy Easter Sunday ...

Nana came to visit for the weekend and got to spend some quality time with Sunny. Here we are getting ready to go to chuch.

Daddy's litle happy girl.

Nana's Sunshine girl. Sunny is wearing her Easter dress from Nana! Thanks Nana for making me look so pretty!

The Wright Family

Here is our attempt at Mommy and Sunny wearing Easter Bunny ears. This is as far as we got.

After church, we all went over to Grandma and Grandpa Wright's house for Easter brunch.

Sunny is opening her Easter basket from Grandma Carol and Grandpa Denny.

Sunny and her cousin Olivia. Little girls in their little Easter dresses. I love it! So cute!

Here they are playing with their Easter bunnys.

"Hey you, let's play."

"Look Olivia, you have to do it like this."

After lunch, we went over to Sunny's Great Grandma Bass' house for an Easter Egg Hunt!

It was raining, but all the kids didn't care. Sunny found 5 eggs (with Mom & Dad's help of course). One egg had money in it!

It was a great, family packed, blessed day and we honor and thank the lord for all his blessings!
