On Friday, just the girls went to the mall for a little "girl fun" day. We went shopping mainly for Sunny for an Easter dress. We had a great time and Sunny had fun watching everyone and giggling at other kids in the mall.
Sunny finally got so tired, we just leaned her little seat back and asleep she went!
Nana with her little sunshine!
Nana is going to see Sunny on Easter, but she couldn't wait to give Sunny her Easter presents! Here she is ready the little lamb puppet book she got her. It's so cute, you stick you finger in the middle of the book and you move it while you read. Sunny liked it...she wanted to chew on the lamb. ;-) Nana got some cute outfits for little Sunny too. Stay tuned to the blog to see when she wears the outfits! They are adorable!
Sunny is showing Nana her "Who Loves Baby?" book.
While Mommy would get ready in the morning, Sunny would play in the bathroom with Nana! Sunny is starting to have some serious seperation anxiety. Mommy can't leave the room a lot of the time. In order to get her to stay here with Nana, we had to get her involved with a toy and then Mom would slip out.
Nana getting Sunny ready for bed which is a routine of putting on lotion, diaper, jammies and brushing our teeth!
Sunny seemed to make herself right at home in Nana's highchair. She loved watching TV all weekend because she doesn't get to watch it at home!
We also made a visit to one of Mommy's good friend's (Dawn Randsell's) Grandma. Mrs. Hazlett had made Sunny a beautiful Holly Hobby blanket, so we went over to personally thank her. Mrs. Hazlett couldn't believe how heavy Sunny was! Sunny has to be around 17 1/2 lbs. now we think.
We also went to visit Sunny's Great Aunt Lizzie and Uncle Tony. The separation anxiety really kicked in at their house. Sunny was scared of Uncle Tony and all he wanted to do was love and kiss on her. We were there for 2 hrs or so and by the end, she finally let him hold her without crying! Yea!
We watched part of the MU/UConn game at their house too. We put Sunny on a blanket so she had a front row seat in front of the big screen. Here's how we thought her thought process was working that day ....
"Oh boy, this is a pretty intense game. MU better win or Nana will be upset and I don't want my Nana upset."
"Oh no! Quit fouling them MU!"
"Yea, MU just tied the game! Go MIZZOU!"
We went to church on Sunday and Mommy was nervous that Sunny was going to be too loud. I didn't want to risk her crying for Mommy in the nursery, so we just sat in the back row with easy access to jet if she started getting loud. She was a happy and AWAKE girl all through church so there were a few "girl happy screams" during times.
During the children's time (kids come to the front of the church for a story) Sunny thought it would be funny to try to "talk" louder than the speaker! She was telling a story and Sunny was belting out some loud cooing! It was funny.
PePaw finally got her to sleep. Unfortunately this was toward the end of church, so then after church, people came to see her and she was conked out!
