This Week

Here are some videos we took this week. Sunny is really making it apparent her needs and wants! Plus she's walking like crazy! She doesn't crawl anymore...those days are over!

The Determined side of Sunny.

Slowly learning how to do the sign for "more."

Darn file cabinet got in the way.

So tempting.....

See how she gets "unstuck."

Sunny & Airen August 2009

Cousin Airen and Aunt Dorrie were able to stay with us the weekend of Sunny's birthday party. Here are some fun moments of the two of them playing!

Reading books together. Airen LOVES to read books, so he would always get one out and walk up to you and ask you to read to him. Now Sunny is starting to do it. I just love how they influence each other!

Lunch time

Aunt Dorrie and her pretty princess!

Airen and his "stress out" pose.

Airen doing the "stress out." He's almost looking like the Incredbile Hulk!

Duck sledding in the living room.

Airen showing Sunny how he's a big boy and can brush his own teeth now.

Sunny doing her bathroom strut. She love to play around the tub and toilet (which I discourage, gross!)
=

They used to be close to the same size, but cousin Airen had a growth spurt! He'll be 2 yrs in Nov.

"Read us a story Uncle Rodney, again!"

Playing in the ball pit!

1 Year Birthday Walker

Tuesday was actually Sunny's Birthday and she celebrated her birthday by walking across the room!!!

She had been taking a couple steps at a time, but on her actual birthday day...she walked across the room! Everyone kept saying that one day she'll just decide this walking thing is pretty cool and they were right! She has always been the milestone birthday baby.

She seems to always start these new chapters on a month birthday (she rolled over for the first time at 4 mo birthday, she crawled for the first time at 7 mo birthday and now she walked on her 12 mo birthday!) Way to go Sunshine!!!

Grandma Carol and Grandpa Denny came over to give Sunny a card and to her surprise when she opened it - there was some dough!

Here she is thinking about what she's going to buy even though Mommy and Daddy said it's going in her piggy bank!

She's wondering what is in Grandma's purse.

Looking at Sunny Days blog with Grandma.

She's also started this thing where she likes to look at you upside down.

Also for her birthday, we let her birthday balloons go into the sky. We wrote a note on them saying we let these balloons go in honor of Sunny and for who ever finds them to email us and let us know where they ended up!

Sunny Kay's 1 Year Birthday Party

We had Sunny's birthday party this past weekend! She was such a joy and was a very happy little girl! A lot of family and some friends were there and she was not bothered by the crowd and everyone staring at her! She was very humble and excited.

CAKE
She started off slow and then ate on the cake for about 20 minutes! She loved it! I was wondering if I should stop because I didn't want her to get sick!

Here was her cake that Mommy made just for her.

Getting ready for the cake and the application of the hat, was not a hit.

Singing Happy Birthday.

The cake inspection.

"Wahoo! It's all you can eat cake night!"

Giving a piece of cake to Daddy.

Giving a piece of cake to Mommy.

Telling Carmen about how awesome this cake is! (Carmen's 1st birthday is in 2 weeks!)

"Yea, I'm going to be 1 soon so I can eat cake too!"

"Oh no, I might have a belly ache."

PRESENTS
Sunny was excited with each gift she opened. She was gently with the packages and smiled a lot!

Like her birthday tatoo?

Cousins Kalie and Oliva.

Nana reading her the book that Mommy made for her on her first year.

Carmen is showing Sunny one of the gifts she got for Sunny.

A Sunny "thank you" kiss.

Sunny with all her gifts. She says thank you to everyone!!!

With Grandma & Grandpa Wright.

We wish all of our family could have been there, especially Grandpa Jim and Grandma Barb. Grandpa Jim is still in the hosptial from stomach surgery, so they were not able to be there. We missed them VERY much and wish Grandpa a speedy recovery!!!
